SHAKESPEARE'S LOST MASTERPIECE

2019 NJACT PERRY AWARD WINNER - OUTSTANDING ORIGINAL PLAY

Larry's Back East With A World Premiere

When AGP last saw Larry Americ Allen, we brought the character of Natas to life, and his play Shakespeare's Lost Masterpiece won the 2019 NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Original Play. This February, Larry returns from San Francisco blessing Dunbar Repertory Company with the honor of launching another one of his works.

The Chef of Romagical Realism is exactly as it is billed, a Romantic Novel Play, as in a novel in theatre form. I, as renowned literary agent Bernard Shaw, Tell the story of twin Brothers Gabriel, who is attractive and searching for fame, and Halo, who is the extreme polar opposite, seeking acceptance. Halo, however, is an extremely gifted cook, and it is his creations that make this story a work of art. Directed by Darrell Willis, this world premiere takes place at the Middletown Arts Center for a two-weekend run from February 17th to 26th; Evenings Fridays & Saturdays at 8p, and matinees Saturdays at 3p and Sundays at 4p, with a special Q&A Talkback Session with Larry after the show on the 19th.
